AV Ventures organised a training programme on “Becoming an Aggregator” for beneficiaries in Sogakope within the South Tongu District from 25th to 28th May 2026. The training, facilitated by the South Tongu District Department of Agriculture, aimed to build the capacity of farmers, traders, and potential aggregators to participate effectively in agricultural value chains and improve agribusiness outcomes.
A total of 60 participants (7 males and 54 females) were trained on key areas, including aggregation roles, agricultural marketing, quality management, storage and logistics, financial management, and risk management. The participatory training approach enhanced practical understanding through group discussions, interactive exercises, and real-life business simulations.
The programme strengthened participants’ capacity to link farmers to markets, improve produce quality, reduce post-harvest losses, and increase income-generation opportunities. Overall, the training contributed significantly to promoting agribusiness development and sustainable livelihoods within the district.
