SOUTH TONGU DISTRICT COMMUNITY UNITES FOR CLEAN-UP EXERCISE: “CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS.

The South Tongu District Assembly, under the leadership of Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, the District Chief Executive, in collaboration with Environmental Health officials, Assembly Members, religious leaders, and citizens, organized a successful clean-up exercise on the Lower Volta Bridge (Sogakope bridge) and Accra to Aflao highway starting from the Sogakope Barrier to the Sogakope Bread Market on the 4th of July 2025.

This  initiative aligns with the vision of a clean Ghana, promoting health, reducing healthcare expenses, and enhancing the beauty of our environment.

The exercise was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of community spirit and collective action.

The District Chief Executive, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, expressed her gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and commitment to keeping the community clean.

She encouraged citizens to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation standards achieved during the exercise.

Plans are underway to extend this initiative to larger communities within the South Tongu District, fostering a cleaner and healthier environment for all.
