SOUTH TONGU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY DONATES PACKS OF BOTTLE WATER AND DRINKS TO DISTRICT HOSPITAL, SOGAKOPE.

The South Tongu District Assembly on the 7th January 2026, donated Forty (40) packs of bottle water and Twenty (20) packs of assorted soft drinks to the District Hospital, Sogakope has part of its continuous commitment to supporting healthcare delivery and promoting the welfare of patients and health workers in the district.

This donation exercise also forms part of the Assembly’s social responsibility initiatives aimed at strengthening collaboration between the Assembly and health institutions.

Presenting the items on behalf of the District Assembly the DCE, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, indicated that the gesture was to support the hospital, especially in ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of patient and health workers. She emphasized that access to clean drinking water remains essential to health and recovery in healthcare settings.

Receiving the items, the Head of Administration, Mr. Samuel Omega and Matron, Mrs. Edem Agbetsifa expressed profound gratitude to the District Assembly for the timely donation. He stated that the packs of water and drink would significantly contribute to patient care and improve the working condition of staff. He assured that the hospital management will put to good use the donated items.

After the donation, the District Assembly together with the hospital management visited the children’s ward, family planning unit to distribute some of the donated items to the patients.

The donation exercise was witnessed by officials from the District Assembly; Assistant Directors, District Planning Officer, Human Resource Manager, Statistician and key officials from the District Hospital.
