The South Tongu District Assembly has donated medical equipment to the South Tongu District Health Directorate, Sogakope District Hospital and Richard Novati Catholic Hospital to improve healthcare delivery in the district.
The equipment included 6 Cardiac beds, 22 standard type beds, 5 children cot/beds, 5 delivery beds, 22 bed side lockers and 6 overbed tables.
In his address, the DCE indicated that the donation was in line with the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP).
He said the Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Programme (IPEP) aims at providing basic socio-economic infrastructure at the constituency level in two folds; Government priority projects and Constituency Specific Infrastructure needs.
Receiving the items, Madam Mavis Agumey, the South Tongu District Health Director, lauded government and the DCE for their kind gesture and said the donation will go a long way to improve on quality healthcare delivery in the district.
