Following his assumption of duty as the new Regional Coordinating Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council (VRCC), Alhaji Mohammed Avona Akape embarked on a duty tour to the South Tongu District Assembly on Friday, 23rd January 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at the District Assembly Hall in Sogakope.
He was accompanied by the Regional Human Resource Director, Assistant Regional Human Resource Director, and the Assistant Director I of the VRCC.
The meeting opened with a prayer and staff introductions. In his welcome address, the District Coordinating Director, Mr Sirbu Imoro Braimah, formally introduced and welcomed the Regional Coordinating Director to the Assembly Staff.
Presentations were made on Internally Generated Fund (IGF) performance, the Medium-Term Development Plan, Annual Progress Reports, staff strength, and district security issues to the VRCC team. The Regional Chief Director expressed his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the workforce.
The meeting concluded with an open forum where staff raised concerns and made requests. The Regional Coordinating Director assured staff of management’s support and encouraged them to remain committed and work efficiently.
