On Thursday,17th August, 2023 the Arey-Smart Brains Academy, Sogakope paid a working visit to the District Chief Executive Hon. Seth Kwasi Agbi and the South Tongu District Assembly to present the trophy that the school won at the just ended 2023 National UCMAS Competition held in Ghana. This was aimed to highlight the significant achievement for the school and the District.
The purpose of the visit was two folds. Firstly, it was an opportunity for Arey-Smart Brains Academy to express their gratitude to the Hon. DCE for his support and encouragement throughout the competition. The visit was also intended to showcase the school’s success and promote the importance of mental arithmetic education in the District.
The delegation i.e. students, teachers and some parents from Arey-Smart Brains Academy Sogakope, led by the school’s proprietress , Mrs Aretha Agbeyome and school’s headmaster Mr. Gabriel Amenyedzi, arrived at the South Tongu District Assembly Hall on Thursday, 17th August, 2023 at exactly 11:00 am. The team was received warmly by the District Chief Executive, the District Coordinating Director, and Hon. Presiding Member along with other officials of the Assembly.
During the visit, Mrs Agbeyome presented the DCE with the trophy won by Arey-Smart Brains Academy at the 2023 National UCMAS Competition. The trophy was a symbol of the school’s outstanding performance and dedication to mental arithmetic education.
Following the trophy presentation, a discussion took place on the importance of mental arithmetic education in the district.
