
It has been realized that locally produced fruit and vegetables are not wholesome or safe for consumption due to the use of unproved chemical and unhygienic water for irrigation. For this reason, this programme was organized by collaborating partners including Ghana Commercial Agricultural Project and Ghana Green Label Scheme to train farmers on good agricultural practices. The Lorlornyo Vegetable Farmers Association of Hikpo, thus, twenty-nine (29) males and thirty-three (33) females totally sixty-two (62) had a training to help them produce safe fruits and vegetables for public consumption at the right quality level, whiles they sustain good market for their products. The training had two components; Good agricultural practices and Ghana green label certification modules.
