The District Environmental Health Unit of the South Tongu District Assembly organized community health education at selected towns and villages in the district
The exercise was organized to create awareness of the COVID-19 virus, how to control and prevent its spread and how important it was for everyone to take the COVID-19 vaccine. It was also aimed at engaging and educating the public on other environmental health related issues such as Environmental sanitation, Open Defecation and its health effects and Food hygiene.
This was done through community information centres and community engagements and the community members expressed their satisfaction with the efforts of the Assembly towards clean communities.
