The Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Augustus K. Awity and the Regional Human Resource Manager of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse, paid a working visit to South Tongu District Assembly. The visit forms part of the Chief Director’s schedule of visits to all the MMDAs in the Volta Region and his first interaction with the staff since assumption of duty as the Chief Director.
Mr. Awity assured staff that their efforts are being acknowledged and appreciated and urged all staff to be dedicated and hardworking to achieve the desired goals for the Assembly. He also cautioned against indiscipline among staff and encourage them to abide by the principles of the service to avoid sanctions. Mr. Awity also emphasised on the importance of collaboration to promote peace and stability at the workplace.
The Regional Human Resource Manager of VRCC, Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse also used the platform to urge staff to demonstrate a high sense of professionalism towards work and help the District Chief Executive to improve the growth and success of the South Tongu District.
In his closing remarks, Mr. Awity expressed his appreciation to the staff of the South Tongu District Assembly for the wonderful experience as well as ensuring that there is equity within the workplace and urged staff to maintain professionalism.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Seth K. Agbi was grateful to the Chief Director for the visit. He assured that the admonitions made by the Chief Director, would be taken into consideration and promise to harness all available resources at the disposal of the Assembly to improve service delivery.
