THE HUMAN RESOURCE UNIT OF SOUTH TONGU DISTRICT ASSEMBLY ORGANIZED A CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOP FOR STAFF OF THE ASSEMBLY.

The Human Resource unit of South Tongu District Assembly Organized a capacity buliding for staff of the assembly in Leadership and management systems in the Local Government Service. The Assembly’s Leadership had invited a renowned expert Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse the Regional Human resource Manager of the Eastern Coordinationg Council to Conduct the program, ensuring that the staff would receive the best guidance and support.

The training commenced with an opening speech by the District coordinating Director, who emphasized the importance of capacity building and how it would benefit not only the staff but also the entire community. He encouraged everyone to actively participate and make the most of this opportunity.

The first session focused on types of leadership and the management systems in the local government service. Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse engaged staff in interactive activities, encouraging them to express their thoughts and ideas freely. They emphasized the importance of active listening, empathy, and clarity in leadership in the local government service the staff members were given practical tips and techniques to enhance and empower them to better engage with leadership of the assembly to help improve work in the assembly.

The final session of the training program focused on How to Promote Empowerment through Servant Leadership in the Local Government Service.

Mr. Cyril Dzinyanu Xatse told staffs that, they should be guided by the core values of the local government service, especially by being professional and impartial in the work. The capacity-building program had not only enhanced the skills of the staff but had also fostered a sense of unity and purpose among them. Together, they continued to make South Tongue a better place to live, work, and thrive.
