The District Chief Executive Hon. Victoria Dzeklo met with the Driver Unions to deliberate on issues regarding the fares and to acquaint with them to know their grievances.
The meeting focused on how well they take care of the station and the way forward.
The Driver Unions commend His Excellency, John Mahama, the President of Ghana for reducing the fuel prices. They lamented about the prices of Spare Parts, Engine Oil, Tyers among others not been reduced. Prices of transport fares has been reduced but cannot be able to help them maintain their vehicles at the end of the day.
The DCE, Hon Victoria Dzeklo promised them to exercise patience and that everything will fall into place in due time. Ideas were shared on how best to maintain the station by levying the sellers at the station and stoppage of Highway Drivers that pick and drop people which causes chaos. The meeting was a Success.
