A visit to the Muslim Communities by Hon. District Chief Executive and some staff members of the Assembly. On the 10th of April, 2024 the Hon. DCE and his entourage visited three Muslim communities in the South Tongu District. The Hon. DCE and his entourage went round the three communities to mark the end of their fast and celebrate the Eid-fitr with the people. He marked the day with them by giving out some bags of rice and gallons of cooking oil as a token to the Muslim brothers and sisters. The first stop point / community is Dabala Zongo where Hon. DCE honored the people with bags of rice and cooking oil. On presenting the items, Hon. DCE was introduced to Dabala Zongo community. The chief Mallam of the community Mosque acknowledged all receipts and encouraged Hon. DCE and his team for more of such. The Mallam mentioned that, the Hon. and the Assembly should extend help to the youth of the Zongo communities. The second presentation was done at Dabala Junction Mosque where 3 bags of 25kg of rice and cooking oil were presented. The Hon. DCE met the Imam of the Mosque and some other elders of the community. (Muslim). The third community was Sogakope Zongo community, Hon. DCE and his entourage met the people at the Zongo Chief’s residence, where he met the chief Imam, Zongo chiefs and other elders of the Zongo community. Hon. DCE presented to the community his token and all were acknowledged.
