Held under the leadership of the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, the session served as an administrative launch pad to align local governance, legislative leadership, and regional technical experts around the national initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Joining the DCE were key representatives from the office of the Member of Parliament (MP), regional leadership from the Fisheries Commission, local assembly representatives, and 50 prospective community beneficiaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The primary focus of the forum was to unpack the operational objectives of AquaCCop, a flagship initiative designed by the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development (MoFAD) to increase domestic fish production, improve food security, and stimulate job creation through cooperative-based farming models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the technical briefing, the Volta Regional Fisheries Director, Mr. William Agbenu, alongside officers from the Fisheries Commission, detailed the technical parameters, bio-security protocols, site selection criteria, and market integration strategies essential for successful enterprise deployment in the district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In her remarks, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo reaffirmed the Assembly\u2019s full commitment to creating an enabling environment for the programme\u2019s success, emphasizing South Tongu\u2019s natural advantage within the Lower Volta basin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Moving forward, the Assembly will work directly with the Regional Fisheries Directorate to complete beneficiary profiling, conduct field inspections of proposed sites, and designate an official Assembly focal person to oversee ongoing coordination between MoFAD and local farming cooperatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image
