{"id":938,"date":"2020-06-30T03:20:30","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T03:20:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/?page_id=938"},"modified":"2021-03-26T01:42:27","modified_gmt":"2021-03-26T01:42:27","slug":"works","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/works\/","title":{"rendered":"Works"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Works of the Assembly is a merger of the Public works Department, Department of Feeder Roads and District Water &amp; Sanitation Units, Department of Rural Housing and the Works Unit of the Assembly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Works Department;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Facilitate the implementation of policies on works and report to the Assembly, and provide advice on matters relating to Works in the Assembly.<\/li><li>Facilitate the construction, repair and maintenance of:<\/li><li>Public roads including Feeder Roads.<\/li><li>Drains along any streets in the major settlements within its jurisdiction.<\/li><li>Encourage and facilitate maintenance of public buildings and facilities in the Assembly.<\/li><li>Assist to build, equip, close and maintain markets and prohibit the erection of stores in places other than the markets.<\/li><li>Assist to inspect projects undertaken by the District Assembly with the relevant departments of the Assembly.<\/li><li>Advise the Assembly on the prohibition of digging of burrow pits and other evacuations in the sinking of wells or their closers.<\/li><li>Assist to maintain public buildings made up of offices, residential accommodations and ancillary structures.<\/li><li>Advise and encourage owners of building structures to<ul><li>Remove dilapidated structures in any public place.<\/li><li>Paint, distemper, white wash or colour wash the outside of any building forming part of the premises<\/li><li>&nbsp;Tidy up the premises and remove any derelict vehicles or objects which constitute nuisance<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Provide technical advice for the machinery and structural layout of building plans to facilitate escape from fire, rescue operation and fire management<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Works of the Assembly is a merger of the Public works Department, Department of Feeder Roads and District Water &amp; Sanitation Units, &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-938","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/938","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=938"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/938\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1510,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/938\/revisions\/1510"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=938"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
