{"id":928,"date":"2020-06-30T03:11:06","date_gmt":"2020-06-30T03:11:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/?page_id=928"},"modified":"2021-03-26T01:40:03","modified_gmt":"2021-03-26T01:40:03","slug":"physical-planning","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/physical-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"Physical Planning"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department of Physical Planning at the district level shall manage the activities of the Department of Town and Country Planning and the Departments of Parks and Gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Department has the following functions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Advice the District Assembly on national policies on physical planning, land use and development.<\/li><li>Coordinate activities and projects of departments and other agencies including non-governmental organizations to ensure compliance with planning standards.<\/li><li>Assist in preparations of physical plans as a guide for the formulation of development policies, decisions and to design projects within the Assembly.<\/li><li>Advise on setting out approved plans for future development of land at the district level.<\/li><li>Advise on the conditions for the construction of public and private buildings and structures and assist to provide the layout for buildings for improved housing layout and settlements.<\/li><li>Ensure the prohibition of the construction of new buildings unless building plans submitted have been approved by the Assembly.<\/li><li>Advise and facilitate the demolishing of dilapidated buildings and recovery of incurred cost in connection with the demolishing.<\/li><li>Advice the Assembly on the siting of billboards, masts and ensure compliance with the decisions of the Assembly.<\/li><li>Advice on the acquisition of land property in the public interest, and undertake street naming, numbering of houses and related issues.<\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Department of Physical Planning at the district level shall manage the activities of the Department of Town and Country Planning and the Departments of &hellip;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-928","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/928","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=928"}],"version-history":[{"count":2,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/928\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":1509,"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/928\/revisions\/1509"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/stda.gov.gh\/index.php\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=928"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
